In 2013, YHP started a cycle of Beethoven's nine symphonies, performing both in a concert series in the capital Sapporo and in small villages and towns in the countryside of Hokkaido. The grand finale of the cycle was with Beethoven's 9th Symphony, held in February 2017 with great success at the ›Nishi Bunka Festival‹ in Sapporo, in the ›Towani Hall‹ in Toyoura and in the ›Kitara Concert Hall‹ in Sapporo.

The project ›Beethoven's 9th Symphony‹ was filmed by director Richard and ›ImageMILL‹, Tokyo and will be published internationally in 2021 as a documentary film. Young Hokkaido Philharmony received international recognition on concert tours to Germany (2013) and Spain (2016). YHP performed successfully in the Auditorio di Villagarcia de Arousa, in the Hotel Paradores and in the Cathedral of Santiago di Compostela, and enjoyed much enthusiastic praise from the public as well as the press. From 2013-2018 YHP was appointed festival orchestra of ›Passion Art Festival Sapporo‹.
